Check out these two articles that tell you a little bit more about me and "why I do what I do!"

actor. LA native. NYC BASED.

Ingenue with a backbone.

Teacher of tiny theatre legends.

Hi! I’m Ruthy. 👋

I’m a Los Angeles native now based in New York City, and I’ve been performing for as long as I can remember. My very first roles onstage were Mama Stink Bug in my second-grade musical Bugz and, shortly after, a Brussels Sprout who helped the Mighty Trash Avengers Save the Planet Earth. Somehow, those two very niche casting moments only made me want to act more — so here we are.

I’m an NYU Tisch alum with a BFA in Drama and a minor in Producing, and I’ve built a career rooted in theatre, film/tv, and collaboration, and storytelling. Most notably, I’ve performed Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof over 800 times across multiple productions. It sounds a little wild (because it is), but I truly love it. There’s something incredibly grounding and powerful about living inside a role night after night and letting it grow with you.

I’m especially drawn to playing ingenues with a backbone — or helping them find one.

Alongside performing, I teach acting, voice, and devised theatre to kids both in a classroom setting and through private coaching. I am passionate about working with young artists, helping them find their voices, trust their instincts, build confidence, and tell their own stories. Teaching is huge part of my artistic life and one of the most joyful ways I get to give back to the form that gave me everything.

Whether I’m onstage or in the classroom, I believe theatre is about connection, curiosity, and community — and I feel incredibly lucky to get to do what I love.
